Amy Farrell

Amy Farrell has been a swimmer and runner since she was 12 years old. She became a triathlete fresh out of college, landing on the age group podium of her first Ironman World Championship in 2000. After a long maternity leave for her daughter Ruby Amy came back to triathlon in 2009 and was the 30-34 70.3 World Champion. In 2014 she was the 35-39 Ironman World Champion as well as the second female amateur at Kona that year. She was the overall female winner at Ironman Lake Placid in 2015 and 2017, Ironman North Carolina in 2016, and Ironman Santa Rosa in 2018. She’s been on the podium at the Ironman World Championships 5 times.

Amy graduated with a BS in Physical Education from St. Lawrence University where she competed on the cross country and track teams. Amy and her husband, Kevin, live in Tupper Lake NY with daughter, Ruby and 4 rescue dogs. She has been coaching runners since 1999, over the years she has coached everything from high school track and field athletes to masters runners and triathletes. Her athletes have won state and national championships on the track and qualified for national championships in triathlon.
