Carlos Fernandes is a recent graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) with a Major in English and a Minor in Arabic. He began running his senior year of high school before walking on to the VMI Cross Country and Track team. He now lives in Boulder, CO running for the ROOTS Running Project as he continues to keep the dream alive.
 
Aside from actually running, he seeks to push the sport forward with his words. He’s a staff writer for The Harrier, a running streetwear and news company, and started his own brand with his college roommate called Bad Badger TC.
